Training opportunity in Portugal in January 2021

Tuesday, 28 April 2020

The Portuguese youth organisation APCC (associação para a promoção cultural da criança) is organising a 5-day study visit and training and exchange event in January 2021 in Lisbon (Portugal) to discuss how to creatively adapt education approaches to the new social, economic, health, and environmental challenges of our times.

APCC has reached out to Woodcraft Folk as a potential partner to take part in the study visit to share our experience and knowledge on working with young people. The 5-day working days will aim to:

  • Share practices among participants;
  • Visit Portuguese organisations developing non-formal educational cultural, sportive, environmental, religious, social, leisure programmes (after school hours / on school holidays);
  • Exchange practices on leisure programmes & training programmes;
  • Create a possible common youth leaders training programme;
  • Promote deeper co-operation;
  • Plan and prepare future international activities leading to higher quality of local & European projects, bearing in mind the promotion of development, inclusion and participation.

The event is aimed at young leaders/adults aged between 18-30 years old. Our DFs  and Young Kinsfolk members are encouraged to consider this opportunity and participate at this event. It is a great opportunity to exchange with like-minded young people from different cultures and backgrounds, and to promote internationalism and friendship.
