Opportunity to participate in a video project

Monday, 7 September 2020

Being socially active and aware of the issues within the world we live (such as climate change, gender equality, refugees, LGBT+ rights etc.) is really important at Woodcraft Folk. Being part of the movement also means thinking critically about the world around us, and questioning structures of power and hierarchies that perpetuate inequality and injustice in society.

In this video project about critical thinking, we want to know what you like about Woodcraft and what skills you have developed to help with critical thinking as a young member or volunteer.

It can be anything you can think of based on your personal experience with Woodcraft Folk, there are no right or wrong answers. We want to hear from all ages so whether you’re a Woodchip or a folk elder you can be involved!

To participate, you need to record a short clip (from 10s to 1min long) of yourself answering one or all the questions below:

- What do you like most about Woodcraft Folk?

- How does Woodcraft Folk help you think about and act in society and the world around you? Why is it important to you?

- What are some of the things you have learned since joining your Woodcraft group?

You can be as creative as you want, and members of all ages are encouraged to participate!

Please send your videos or any questions you might have to: lauren@woodcraft.org.uk

Your video will be part of a collection of short clips from members around the country that will be posted on #DreamBigAtHome and our social media channels.

We look forward to seeing your videos!
