Biblins Update and Fundraising Appeal!!

Thursday, 23 April 2020

Many of you will have seen the photos earlier this year of the Flooding in the Wye Valley, which once again affected the campsite. Sadly this time the water reached higher than ever, getting inside the wardens cabin, toilet block and Camp Koodoo.

Thanks to the huge efforts of volunteers who came to sort, wash and repair, the site was able to open as planned for the 2020 camping season. However, only 2 weeks later, with the advice to stop all face to face activities the site is once again closed and we do not know when we will be able to open to campers again.

While we have been able to access some funding to cover a portion of our costs while the site is closed, but being closed for what is usually our busiest time of year still going to have difficult financial impact.

So we’re asking for your help, we have a Just Giving appeal open for those who are able to make a donation,

Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and help us spread the word by sharing our posts. You’ll be able to keep up to date with information from the site.

Of course once we are able to camp again it would be lovely to see our camp-sites and centres filled with Woodcraft groups.

Some of us can’t wait quite that long for another Biblins adventure though, some of our young members (OK and some not quite so young) have been recreating the magic of Biblins at home.
