Woodcraft Folk Online Programme

Due to government guidance we have had to pause our groups meeting physically for now. We have been working hard on developing online programme nationally and volunteers have been working hard to deliver local online programme so that groups do not miss out on speaking with their friends and engaging in Woodcraft Folk activities. One of the things we are passionate about at Woodcraft Folk is empowering young people and listening to their ideas. We would love to hear from our young members about what they want to see on our online programme.

Programme plans

Please find below three example programme plans from different Woodcraft Folk groups.

Most groups meet termly or half termly to plan a broad outline - you won't find a huge amount of detail on each of these plans: its up to the individuals signed up to lead that session to flesh out the idea with a session plan.

Programme plans tend to double up as rotas too: send out the plan to all parents and volunteers asking for help. People are much more likely to sign up if they have an idea of what's happening that session.

Programme Planning

You're in one of the main sections of Woodcraft Folk's New Group Journey training module. The most important points to remember are listed first, and following that is a fuller explanation of what you need to do in this area. There are many different ways of doing things in Woodcraft Folk, so we've included only the essential guidance in this module, leaving you to develop your own methods to suit your group.

Youth for Fair Trade

The Youth for Fair Trade Resource Pack is a global youth work resource. It has been designed by Y Care International to help youth workers connect young people to the key values of fairness and equality; to explore what fair trade means to them; and to support them to take action to make the world a fairer place.
