Did you know...?

If you raise money for a specific purpose (eg. an international exchange) and for some reason you can’t spend the money raised on that purpose (eg. because the exchange is cancelled) detailed legal rules may apply about returning the donations or using the money for another purpose.

There are two simple ways to help prevent these complications:

Eastern regional gathering

As you know we are one of the most thriving Woodcraft Folk regions in the country. ER stretches from Ipswich and Norwich in the east to St Albans & Milton Keynes in central England.

Every year we hold a regional gathering in Thetford Forest for all ER members. The weekend includes opportunities for training, peer support, activities for all ages, feasting and socialising.

Accommodation is in shared dorms or camping pods. Saturday night finishes with a fabulous ceilidh.

Annual Finance Returns....Thank You to the Treasurers

A massive Thank You to our Treasurers who have done a brilliant job getting the Annual Finance Returns for 2019 done with the earlier deadline that we need this year and with a new reporting system. By the deadline on 31st January we had 70 of the 121 needed complete and 19 others almost finished.

Annual Gathering 2020

In the light of the current situation with the Covid 19 virus, General Council has decided to postpone the AGM which was scheduled for 30th May until Sunday 13th September 2020 and to hold the meeting electronically. We consider this to be the best way forward to ensure we meet our democratic and legal obligations in this very difficult time.

As a charity there are TWO key votes at an AGM which are needed in order for us to comply with legal obligations within 15months of our previous AGM. These are:-
